Pennsylvania ag secretary requests contract extension for dairy farmers

Forty-two dairy farmers in state received termination letter.

Pennsylvania secretary of agriculture Russell Redding has sent a letter to Dean Dairy Holdings LLC following the announcement that the company provided termination notices to 42 Pennsylvania dairy farmers, effective May 31, 2018. Redding’s correspondence requested that Dean Foods extend the deadline so that those affected may have more time to transition to other markets.
