The Minnesota Board of Animal Health and USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) have confirmed highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in another turkey operation in Minnesota. Located in Morrison County, the turkey operation has 50,000 birds and is the third large turkey operation to report the virus since Aug. 30. Prior to the recent cases, the last case of the virus in the state had been confirmed on May 31 in a backyard flock.
