Injunction sought of beef checkoff collections in 13 states

Supplemental pleading filed in Montana district court to prevent farmers from being required to pay $1 mandatory checkoff assessment.

Following up on a successful injunction in Montana, beef checkoff opponents have set their eyes on 13 additional states in challenging the constitutionality of the beef checkoff program administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
