Activist groups file suit against EPA regarding chlorpyrifos decision

Lawsuit follows Administrator Pruitt's decision to allow use of chlorpyrifos after conflicting safety reports.

American Oversight filed suit against the Environmental Protection Agency to force the release of documents and communications regarding EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt’s decision on March 29 to overrule agency scientists and permit the continued use of the pesticide chlorpyrifos. This lawsuit is part of an ongoing investigation by American Oversight and the Environmental Working Group (EWG) into this decision.
