Good, bad, unknown of new sustainable aviation fuel tax guidance

The Inflation Reduction Act’s tax incentives were designed to expand production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and lower-carbon fuels. The U.S. Department of Treasury recently released guidance addressing the tax incentive for SAF if the fuel reduces lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50%.
