Topigs Norsvin has announced the appointment of Dr. John Eggert as chief executive officer for Topigs Norsvin USA. Eggert has been a key member of the Topigs Norsvin USA senior management and leadership team since 2014 and will take over from Dr. Mike Terrill, who has led the company with distinction for the last eight years and who will be assuming the role of senior business advisor for Topigs Norsvin USA, the announcement said.

Eggert will officially assume the CEO position on Jan. 1, 2021.

Eggert has more than 20 years of management experience, most recently as chief development officer for Topigs Norsvin USA. He has led the marketing, research, sales and business development areas and has been a key member of the management team responsible for leading the company in its ever-growing position in the U.S. market.

His early career included genetic, nutrition and meat science research with Wayne Feeds, Cotswold International and Monsanto/Newsham Choice Genetics.
