Poultry facilities recognized for safety performance

The Joint Poultry Industry Safety and Health Council recently recognized chicken and turkey facilities for 25 years of exceptional safety performance. The companies were honored for their continued commitment to a safety-first focus.
The award signifies a quarter century of continued reductions in OSHA recordable injuries and lost workday cases. The industry’s dedication towards continuous improvement in safety processes and employee engagement have been key contributors to the reduction in industry accidents.
The Joint Poultry Industry Safety and Health Council consists of members from the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, National Chicken Council and National Turkey Federation. Collectively, the three organizations represent companies that produce 95% of the nation's poultry products and directly employ more than 350,000 workers.
