A Dutch horsemeat trader, Willy Selten, has been jailed for two and-a-half years for his role in Horsegate.
Horsegate fraud first came to light in Ireland and the U.K. in January 2013 when food authorities found frozen beef burgers supplied to several supermarkets, including major chains such as Tesco, contained horse DNA.
