2024 Feedstuffs Feed Ingredient Analysis Table
It's back! Feedstuffs has updated its feed ingredient analysis values table of more than 100 commonly used feed ingredients.
Pork and turkey supplies decrease slightly from year-ago levels.
Total turkey, chicken, pork and beef supplies in cold storage as of July 31, 2018, were 2.50 billion lb., up 5% from a year ago, according to the latest U.S. Department of Agriculture’s “Cold Storage” report.
Total red meat supplies in freezers, which includes lamb, were 1.09 billion lb., up 3% from the previous month and up 6% from last year. Total pounds of beef in freezers were 485.07 million lb., up 8% from the previous month and up 12% from last year. Frozen pork supplies, at 548.05 million lb., were down 2% from the previous month and down 1% from last year. Stocks of pork bellies were down 28% from last month but up 119% from last year.
Total frozen poultry supplies on July 31 were 1.47 billion lb., a 1% increase from the previous month and 5% increase from a year ago. Total stocks of chicken, at 877.60 million, were down 1% from the previous month but up 10% from last year. Total pounds of turkey in freezers were 589.06, up 5% from last month but down 1% from July 31, 2017.
Total natural cheese stocks in refrigerated warehouses on July 31 were up 2% from the previous month and up 3% from July 31, 2017. Butter stocks were down 6% from last month but up 3% from a year ago.
