Soybeans were trading 5-7 cents higher near midday Thursday after the U.S. Department of Agriculture earlier in the day said China bought nearly 9.3 million bu. of the 2016 harvest. That is the fifth soybean sale to China in the past week and the ninth total sale. The other sales went to unknown destinations.
Weather forecasts show rain in the Midwest through next week. Those forecasts also show hot weather next week.
