Dr. Alexis Hruby Weston joins CSA Animal Nutrition as Dairy Nutritionist

Dr. Weston will provide nutrition consulting, formulation services, and technical consulting to support dairy clients at CSA.

CSA Animal Nutrition is pleased to announce that Dr. Alexis Hruby Weston has joined its team as a Dairy Nutritionist.

Dr. Weston will provide technical support to regional feed manufacturers, dairy consultants, and dairy producers. A primary function is to optimize nutrition programs, while at the same time keeping economic returns in mind. CSA Animal Nutrition’s President, Charles Shininger, is enthusiastic about the addition of Dr. Weston to our nutrition team. Her advanced education, expertise, and innovative outlook are highly valued and make her a great asset to our team. CSA is committed to investing in and building a talented team with nutritionists who possess the knowledge and skills to deliver value to clients.

Alexis grew up in the panhandle of Florida and spent time on her grandparents’ cattle ranch in southern Texas. She earned her B.S. degree from Auburn University and worked at the Auburn Veterinary School Dairy during her undergraduate. She recently completed her Ph.D. degree under Dr. Mark Hanigan at Virginia Tech, focusing on amino acids in dairy cattle. Her published work has focused on the interactions and synergisms among amino acids for absorption into the mammary glands.

Alexis lives in Dayton, Ohio with her husband and will be working out of CSA’s Dayton, OH office. CSA is confident that her education, skills, eagerness to learn and ability to build relationships will contribute significantly to the CSA team and our clients.
