Corn and soybeans were sharply lower near midday on Tuesday as the U.S. Department of Agriculture reported late on Monday that 70% or more of the two crops remain in good to excellent condition.

Also, new forecasts show that next week may provide some relief from this week’s hot weather. More seasonal temperatures are expected then in the Midwest.
