Cattle producers see feed efficiency gains from Rumensin useCattle producers see feed efficiency gains from Rumensin use
First approved in 1976, Rumensin (monensin) is a product that has withstood the test of time and continues to be widely used across the beef cattle sector.
For feedyards, a 3-4% feed efficiency improvement is common when Rumensin is used, according to Dr. Mike Brown, a technical consultant in feedlot production for Elanco Animal Health Inc. We also talk management practices and other opportunities that exist.
