Outgoing and former presidents Robin Horel and Jim Sumner will sit on the executive committee for another two-year term as appointed members.
“I am thrilled to take on this new challenge and grateful for the IPC Board of Directors’ trust,” said new IPC President Ricardo Santin. “Under Robin Horel’s leadership, IPC has gone from strength to strength, with a wide range of new country and associate members, a diverse staff to support the organization and tangible outcomes in our efforts to engage international organizations and key stakeholders.
He continued, “IPC has a clear vision of the future of food systems and the global poultry sector’s role in helping achieve food security across the world. I look forward to working with the IPC community to shape a bright future for our sector.”
The new vice president, Richard Griffiths, added, “The new IPC Executive Committee brings together a wealth of voices, expertise and backgrounds. All of us are ready to take the next steps to champion the poultry industry on the global stage and support our members in their efforts to feed the world.”
Ricardo Santin will take the stage to outline the IPC vision and strategy at the IPC Annual Meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in May 2024.
