PM Beef Holdings, LLC has announced that it intends to close its Windom, Minn., beef slaughter/processing facility on Dec. 11.  The last day of production was Sept. 25, 2015.  Approximately 300 employees worked at the facility.

Lisa Hernandez, president of PM Beef Holdings, LLC, said, “Closing the facility was a very difficult but necessary decision based on years of deteriorating industry conditions, including rising cattle prices and limited cattle supply. We recognize the adverse impact of the closure on our employees and the community. We have been searching, and will continue to search, for a buyer who will purchase the plant and resume operations in the future.”
