Niacet Corp. recently announced a 75 million lb. expansion of its calcium and sodium propionate production capacity.

The expansion has been enabled by access to low-cost raw materials following SK Capital Partners' acquisition of Niacet in February, the company said.

Niacet, the largest producer of calcium propionate and sodium propionate globally, will use this new cost-effective capacity to improve its service and to meet global growth in food, pharmaceutical and feed applications for both existing and new customers.

The expansion is expected to be on stream in 2018.
