Nearly 90 delegates from 29 West Coast ports stretching from San Diego, Cal., to Bellingham, Wash., who were elected by rank-and-file members of the International Longshore & Warehouse Union’s (ILWU) Longshore Division, convened last week in San Francisco, Cal., to review a wide range of issues, including an employer-initiated proposal to extend the 2014-19 collective bargaining agreement between ILWU and the Pacific Maritime Assn. (PMA).
