National bio-surveillance system for swine industry discussed

Participants asked to build on industry and government efforts in developing national bio-surveillance system that meets needs of U.S. swine industry.

Recently, the Institute for Infectious Animal Diseases — a U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Center of Excellence — along with the National Pork Board (NPB) and the Swine Health Information Center, hosted a workshop to discuss the development of a national bio-surveillance system for the U.S. swine industry.
