INSIDE WASHINGTON: Rural America gets little play in State of the Union

Issues important to agriculture, including immigration, trade and energy, got some attention from Trump’s first State of the Union address.

President Donald Trump gave his first State of the Union address on Tuesday night. His message focused mainly on his overarching policy goals moving forward, including immigration reform and infrastructure, but he did not say anything specifically about rural America or agriculture.
