INSIDE WASHINGTON: Clovis withdraws nomination for USDA chief scientist

Sam Clovis withdraws his nomination after scrutiny increases pertaining to his involvement with Russia during election.

After months of scrutiny and additional questions posed this week due to his involvement with Russia’s interaction during the elections, Sam Clovis has decided that he will withdraw his nomination to serve as the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s chief scientist.
