CSA Animal Nutrition is pleased to announce that Dr. Benton Hudson has joined its team as a consulting poultry nutritionist.

Dr. Hudson will provide nutrition services and technical support to CSA’s poultry and egg producer clients. He will work with customers to achieve production goals and improve their economic outcome.

“Benton is an excellent addition to the CSA nutrition team, and we are excited about the skills and experience in broiler breeders and broiler nutrition that he brings to CSA” said Charles Shininger, president of CSA Animal Nutrition. “At CSA, we are investing and building our talented team with nutritionists that have practical industry nutrition experience that can deliver value to our clients. Dr. Hudson has worked in the poultry industry for 18 years.”

During his 18 years in the industry, Benton has worked as a poultry nutritionist for broilers and breeders at Tyson Foods, Aviagen, Zinpro, and Pilgrim’s. He comes to CSA from Pilgrim’s, where he served as head of Breeder Technical Services.  Benton earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Auburn University in Poultry Science. He then completed his Ph.D. at the University of Georgia where he focused on broiler breeder nutrition and feeding.
