The U.S. Department of Agriculture projected in its latest “World Agricultural Supply & Demand Estimates” report that U.S. red meat and poultry production for 2021 will be above 2020 as the sector continues to recover from the impacts of COVID-19 in 2020. The latest set of numbers showed sharp downward adjustments for all animal protein production in 2020, although only slight declines were seen for milk and eggs.
