Central Iowa Campgrounds
Central Iowa has a variety of campground options to make your next visit a great one. The list below is categorized by direction (East, West, North and South) from the 2016 Farm Progress Show site.
Camper parking is offered in the North Visitor Parking Lot starting at Noon, Monday, Aug. 29. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis and your camper must be self-contained. No services will be provided.
WEST

The campground has 30 electrical hookups, eight sewer hookups, two water hydrants, and a bathhouse with hot water and flush toilets; dump station; two open-air picnic shelters; fire rings and mature trees. Camping is on a first-come basis.

The campground has 13 sites with full hookups, plus 2 more with electric only. Five sites are drive-on (back-off) sites for motor coaches (40-foot units). The other sites accommodate 30-foot plus units. Tent sites, with access to shower and bathroom facilities, are available.

Tent camping only is allowed at Grammer Grove. Campsites are available on a first come/first served basis. Electricity is available. The campground also has shelter houses and trails for hiking.

Amenities include several miles of hiking trails, a beach on the lower lake, playground area, picnic areas, fishing and a boat ramp. A golf course is located less than a mile from the park.

Rock Creek has 196 campsites including both electric and nonelectric campsites and campsites alongside the water. The campground has a modern restroom and shower building. Amenities include hiking trails, a swimming beach, playground, seasonal concessions, picnic areas, fishing, boat ramp, and paddle boat and canoe rentals.
