Although heat stress significantly reduces feed intake, this isn't the only performance parameter affected and ultimately negatively impacts all aspects of animal production.

Prof. Lance Baumgard, Ph.D., Iowa State University, will provide an insightful view on:

  • The biology of heat stress in production animals

  • Why today's livestock and poultry may be more susceptible to heat stress than generations previous

  • How heat stress is connected to overall gut health

  • Practical nutritional approaches to combating heat stress

Prof. Baumgard's primary research emphasis has been on the metabolic and endocrine consequences of heat stress in growing and lactating animals.

Don't let the effects of heat stress impact your operation this summer – join us for insights to improve your strategy!
