WELLS Fargo & Co. has named Rob C. Yraceburu as head of the company's food and agribusiness division, according to an announcement.
Yraceburu, a fourth-generation family farmer who has more than 28 years of experience in financing, plans to focus on expanding the division into untapped markets in the eastern and midwestern U.S., the announcement said.
He has worked in several finance positions for Wells Fargo in central and southern California for more than 25 years and most recently led the commercial banking operations in southern California since 2008.
He holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural business and a master's degree in agricultural economics from California State University in Fresno.
"Wells Fargo has been committed to the U.S. food and agriculture industry through numerous economic cycles," said Perry Pelos, head of Wells Fargo's commercial banking business.
Yraceburu will leverage Wells Fargo's financial strength and national reach "to grow our support of an industry that is vital to every single person in America," Pelos added.
