USPOULTRY updates carbon footprint toolkit

THE U.S. Poultry & Egg Assn. (USPOULTRY) recently updated its carbon footprint estimation toolkit, which was first released in 2011 to assist members with adhering to the Environmental Protection Agency's greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting requirement and to reduce the burden of performing GHG emission calculations.

The toolkit was updated with a narrated tutorial to make the emission calculation and recordkeeping process more efficient, an announcement said. A tool to calculate GHG emissions from mobile sources was also added, allowing facilities to calculate emissions generated from a fleet of product delivery vehicles as well as company automobiles and employees' personal vehicles.

This toolkit is available for free to USPOULTRY members by contacting Paul Bredwell at [email protected] or Marjorie Maul at [email protected]
