Names in the News, December 2016 monthly summary

AB VISTA, Marlborough, U.K. — Bruce Hageman has joined the North American team as ruminant business manager. Hageman will oversee the advancement of the ruminant portfolio and provide support to North American customers.

ALGAL SCIENTIFIC, Plymouth, Mich. — Steve Clarken has joined the company as president of animal health and nutrition. Clarken will lead the animal health business unit. He was previously with Zoetis.

BELSTRA MILLING CO., DeMotte, Ind. — Nick DeKryger has been named vice president of business and finance. DeKryger will be responsible for accounting/bookkeeping/contracting for the feed and pig divisions. He will also manage feed mill manager specialists and the farm maintenance team.

Ben Fox has been named premix plant supervisor. Fox will be responsible for overseeing premix plant employees and strategically planning all work performed in the premix plant.

Aaron Hart has been named director of feed manufacturing. Hart will manage the DeMotte Feed plant and Premix plant, the Kouts Feed plant and the Farmersville Pellet plant. He will also oversee order entry, along with quality assurance/quality control and compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act.

Tracy Hoaks has been named feed mill manager specialist. Hoaks will be responsible for validating formula changes, verifying manufactured product pricing and feed mill analytics.

Drew Mellon has been named feed plant supervisor. Mellon will oversee feed plant and textured feed line employees and will strategically plan all work performed in the DeMotte Feed plant.

Larry Mrozinski has been named vice president of sales and nutrition. Mrozinski will be responsible for management of retail sales, dairy sales and distributor/dealer sales, as well as for technical nutrition issues.

BIOZYME INC., St. Joseph, Mo. — Ken Gillig has been promoted to key accounts manager in the supplement division. Gillig will be responsible for promoting growth within the division and for key accounts. He was most recently national training manager.

BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM VETMEDICA INC., St. Joseph, Mo. — Cortney Malter has been promoted to marketing manager on the cattle team. Malter was most recently associate marketing manager, cattle.

CARGILL, Minneapolis, Minn. Devry Boughner Vorwerk has been named to lead the global corporate affairs function. Vorwerk will oversee global branding, communications, corporate responsibility and government relations efforts. She was previously with Akin Gump.

GROWTH ENERGY, Washington, D.C. — Christopher Hogan has been appointed vice president of communications and public affairs. Hogan will oversee all aspects of the organization's efforts to raise awareness of ethanol's importance as an energy source. He was previously with the International Bottled Water Assn.

NATIONAL BIODIESEL BOARD, Jefferson City, Mo. — Donnell Rehagen has been named chief executive. Rehagen was most recently interim chief executive officer.

NUTRIAD INC., Hampshire, Ill. — Guilherme Bromfman has joined the company as director of business and product development. Bromfman will lead certain product development efforts and support business development initiatives in digestive performance and mycotoxin management across the Americas.

TRANSAGRA INTERNATIONAL, Storm Lake, Iowa — Dr. Rebecca Quesnell has joined the company as product and market development director. Quesnell will focus on researching industry development, new product potential and emerging markets. She was previously with Pfizer Animal Health.

TYSON FOODS INC., Springdale, Ark. — Tom Hayes has been named chief executive officer, effective Dec. 31. Hayes is currently president.

WESTWAY FEED PRODUCTS LLC, Tomball, Texas — Greg McLean has been promoted to director of strategic development. McLean will develop and implement key strategic initiatives, identify growth opportunities and support the implementation of joint ventures, acquisitions and alliances. He was most recently Western Division business manager.

ZINPRO CORP., Eden Prairie, Minn. — Mark Scott has joined the company as commercialization manager-global. Scott will manage new product projects and the commercialization process. He will coordinate and guide the sales, marketing and research and nutritional services teams on new product development and global commercialization.
