Corn, soybeans try to hold thin gains as week winds down: Podcast

Dry weather forecasts should aid fall crop harvests.

Corn and soybean markets were slightly higher near midday Friday but had a hard time holding onto gains as dry forecasts were expected to aid harvesting.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture will release its monthly crop report next Wednesday, and surveys show that analysts, on average, expect USDA to trim its corn crop forecast and raise its soybean forecast.
