Lasers to keep poultry chickens safe from avian flu

Organic egg farm employs lasers as biosecurity measure.

The European poultry industries are currently coping with several strains of avian influenza virus, and last week, the U.K. government extended its avian influenza prevention zone to April 2017. Also the requirements of the zone have changed, meaning keepers may let their birds outside provided that they have enhanced biosecurity measures in place.
