Does adding fat to DDGS affect hog carcass composition?

Adding fat to pig diets containing 30% DDGS may alter fatty acid composition in four fat depots but does not change carcass composition or quality.

The role distillers co-products -- with or without additional sources of dietary fat -- may play in influencing the carcass characteristics of pigs has been a common research theme, and now, University of Missouri researchers have published another study in which a fat source was added to swine diets containing distillers co-products.
