BIR Creates COVID-19 Crisis Coordination Team
While SARS-CoV-2 is emerging in human and some animal populations, coronaviruses are well known in livestock industries.

Noting that swine veterinarians are "coronavirus experts," Dr. Jerry Torrison with the University of Minnesota opened the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus session at the virtual 2020 Allen D. Leman Swine Conference by introducing Dr. Linda Saif with the Ohio State University to speak on emerging coronaviruses of humans and animals.
