EXCEDE® for Swine (ceftiofur crystalline free acid) rapidly reaches therapeutic plasma concentration levels(1)

Live Stream Tuesday, June 18 at 1 pm CT - We talk with Micah Jansen, DVM, a Managing Technical Services Veterinarian with Zoetis.

June 14, 2024

Micah Jansen, DVM, a Managing Technical Services Veterinarian with Zoetis, joins us to discuss a study conducted to understand how quickly EXCEDE® for Swine reaches therapeutic concentrations based on MIC values for Streptococcus suis. The results at 15 minutes showed almost all of the pigs reached therapeutic plasma concentration levels greater than the MIC90 of S. suis. At 30 minutes, all six pigs reached plasma concentrations above the MIC90 for S. suis.1

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: People with known hypersensitivity to penicillin or cephalosporins should avoid exposure to EXCEDE. Do not use in swine found to be hypersensitive to the product. Pre-slaughter withdrawal time is 14 days following the last dose. See full Excede for Swine Prescribing Information here.
