AVIAGEN, Huntsville, Ala. — Billy Hufford has been appointed business manager for the Rowan Range brand in North America. Hufford will develop sales, marketing and production strategies for the brand as well as other breeding stock targeted to this market.

 

IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY, Ames, Iowa — Jay Harmon has been named interim associate dean for extension and outreach programs and interim director of agriculture and natural resources extension in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. Harmon was most recently professor of agricultural and biosystems engineering and extension livestock housing specialist.

John Lawrence has been named interim vice president of extension and outreach, effecting April 29. Lawrence was most recently associate dean for extension and outreach programs and interim director of agriculture and natural resources extension in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences.

 

BIOZYME INC., St. Joseph, Mo. — Kevin Arand has been named area sales manager in central and northern Wisconsin and northern Minnesota. Arand will work to develop new and build upon current dealer/partner and customer relations in the region. He was previously serving the dairy sector.

Justin O’Flaherty has joined the company as area sales manager. O’Flaherty will promote product sales and support the dealer/partner network in South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. She was previously with Rock River Laboratory.

Cliff Ocker has been named area sales manager. Ocker will promote product sales and support the dealer/partner network in New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont. He was most recently serving the dairy sector.

 

CARGILL ANIMAL NUTRITION, Hopkins, Minn. — Rodrigo Carranza has joined the U.S. commercial dairy leadership team as national sales leader. Carranza will lead the Dairy Enterprise Group with a focus on delivering supply chain solutions from cow to consumer. He was previously with Zoetis.

 

HUBBARD LLC, Pikeville, Tenn. — Victor Lesigne has been appointed production and technical services engineer. Lesigne first will service grandparent farms in France and eventually will be in charge of the technical follow-up of parent stock customers.

 

ROCK RIVER LABORATORY, Watertown, Wis. — Nathan Hrnicek has joined the company as technical nutrient advisor. Hrnicek will consult with agronomists and nutritionists to build relationships, share insights and develop new opportunities for customer success.

 

MAKEWAY LTD., Waterford, Ireland ­­— Ronan Murphyhas been appointed business development manager. Murphy will work to continually develop an integrated approach to performance improvements that help customers stay ahead of production costs. He was previously with Weatherbys Ireland Ltd.

 

NUTRIFY LLC, Rheems, Pa. — Marvin “Marv” Zimmerman has joined the company as account leader. Zimmerman will be responsible for customer relationships, developing opportunities for the brand and extending the company's reach in the dairy industry. He was previously with Kirby Agri Inc.

 

ZINPRO CORP., Eden Prairie, Minn. — Dr. Leonardo Linares has joined the research and nutritional services team as poultry research nutritionist. Linares will help direct and coordinate research and development activities in poultry nutrition. He will also provide technical support for the poultry sales teams and their customers in the U.S. and Canada.

 

QUALITY TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL, Elgin, Ill. — Dr. Claudio Osorio has joined the company as technical service veterinarian, animal health and nutrition. Osorio was previously with the Maryland Department of Agriculture.

Dr. Miguel Ruano has joined the company as technical service manager, animal health and nutrition. Ruano was previously with the University of Delaware.

 

NUTRIQUEST, Mason City, Iowa — Dr. Mark Newcomb has joined the company as senior swine nutritionist. Newcomb will be responsible for assisting clients in enhancing and maintaining nutrition programs for their swine operations. He was previously with Hamlet Protein.

Dr. Sarah Schuling has joined the company as dairy research and development nutritionist. Schuling will focus on researching products and technologies to serve the U.S. and international dairy markets. She was previously with Hubbard Feeds.

Dr. Nick Shelton has joined the company as swine nutritionist. Shelton will work with the Nutrition Solutions team and will assist clients in enhancing and maintaining nutrition programs for their swine operations. He was previously with International Ingredient Corp.

Sarah Weiland has joined the company as nutrition technician. Weiland will be responsible for assisting the swine nutrition team in developing custom nutrition programs for clients and for working on special projects to advance product development and support the needs of customers.

 

BJM PUMPS, Old Saybrook, Conn. – Randy Gonzalez has joined the warehouse team as warehouse technician. Gonzalez will be responsible for warehouse inventory management and coordinating with shipping and production departments on orders.

Joseph Ho has been promoted to service manager. Ho will focus on serving distributors' and end users' needs.

Cameron Rodriguez-Miller has joined the warehouse team as production technician.

 

BAZOOKA FARMSTAR, Washington, Iowa — Kevin Wolter has joined the company as sales and business development manager. Wolter will be responsible for aiding expansion and advancement in the manure handling equipment marketplace across the U.S. He was previously with Hydro Engineering.

 

BIOZYME INC., St. Joseph, Mo. — Jeremy Roberts has joined the company as area sales manager in Montana. Roberts will be responsible for promoting product sales and supporting the dealer network across Montana.

 

ANPARIO, Worksop, U.K. — Dr. Nantharaporn Kumtan has joined the Asia sales team as regional sales manager. Kumtan will work with distributors and key accounts mainly in Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia. She was previously with Bentoli AgriNutrition.

Dr. Desi Ari Santi has joined the Asia sales team as country manager for Indonesia. Santi will work with distributors and key accounts in Indonesia.

Dr. Edmundo Sy has joined the company as country consultant. Sy will provide consultant services to the Philippines and Bangladesh.

 

BRAKKE CONSULTING INC., Dallas, Texas — Dr. Robert "Bob" W. Jones has joined the company as senior consultant. Jones will focus on general and strategic consulting, helping clients assess their salesforces and improve their competitiveness through people and products. He was previously with Novartis Animal Health.

 

HAYSSEN FLEXIBLE SYSTEMS, Nottingham, England — Dan Irod has been appointed business development director, Central and Eastern Europe, Commonwealth of Independent States and Russia. Irod will be responsible for developing new sales channels and supporting customers in these markets.

 

AMERICAN FEED INDUSTRY ASSN., Arlington, Va. — Gary Huddleston has been promoted to director of feed manufacturing and regulatory affairs. Huddleston will develop and coordinate education and training programs and work with education surrounding the Food Safety Modernization Act, in addition to his current duties. He was most recently manager of feed manufacturing safety and environmental affairs.

 

SELECT SIRES INC., Plain City, Ohio — Eric Renner has joined the company as dairy analytics support specialist. Renner will be responsible for administering the RePRO ReVIEW database and program, including data retrieval and analysis and reporting results to customers.

 

SWEETPRO FEEDS, Walhalla, N.D. — Dr. Abe Scheaffer has joined the company as director of nutrition and technical services.

 

UNITED COOPERATIVE, Beaver Dam, Wis. — Dr. Elizabeth "Lizzy" French has joined the feed nutrition team as strategic account specialist. French will work with members of the dairy feed and nutrition team to provide producers with answers for their operations. She was previously with DeLaval.

 

AGSPRING, Leawood, Kan. – Jenny Trupka has been named director, human resources. Trupka will expand the internal human resources capabilities of the corporate team, institute college recruiting and internship programs and continue staff development and training efforts. She was most recently involved with project management.

 

LAND O’LAKES ANIMAL MILK PRODUCTS CO., Shoreview, Minn. – Kathryn Esselburn has joined the company as calf technical sales specialist for the Great Lakes, Keystone, Northeast and Southeast regions. Esselburn will provide technical support to local farms in all areas of automatic calf feeder management, including programming, calf care and nutrition, sanitation, feeding protocols and employee training. She was previously with Purina Animal Nutrition.

 

NIMAN RANCH, Denver, Colo. – Kerri McClimen has been appointed director of communications. McClimen will promote Niman Ranch meats while highlighting the successes of key partners, farmers, customers and chefs. She was previously a consultant to The Pew Charitable Trusts.

 

OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY, Columbus, Ohio – Dr. Cathann Arceneaux Kress has been appointed vice president for agricultural administration and dean of the College of Food, Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, effective May 1. Kress will be responsible for leading the college's education, research, service and outreach missions and fund-raising efforts and for facilitating strategic internal and external relationships. She is currently with Iowa State University.

 

PAULSEN, Sioux Falls, S.D. – Michael Strand has joined the company as front end developer. Strand will integrate with designers, programmers and the account service team to develop interactive solutions for responsive websites, web apps and native apps for clients.

 

CHR. HANSEN A/S, Milwaukee, Wis. – Vilson Simon has joined the company as senior vice president for animal health. Simon was previously with Merck Animal Health.

 

NUTRIAD, Dendermonde, Belgium – Przemyslaw Przeor has been appointed business manager, Nutriad Polska.

 

BROCK GRAIN SYSTEMS, Milford, Ind. – Shawn Gearhart has joined the company as business development manager. Gearhart will be responsible for assisting the sales team with sales, marketing and business development as well as dealer support and growth in marketing the storage, handling, conditioning and structural products for grain.

 

DELACON, Steyregg, Austria – Kevin Adams has been appointed regional manager. Adams will represent phytogenic feed additives in North America. He was previously with Purina Animal Nutrition.

Kory Moran has been appointed technical manager for swine. Moran will represent phytogenic feed additives in North America. She was previously with North Carolina State University.

 

AGRILABS, St. Joseph, Mo. – James Buck has joined the company as territory manager for the South East. Buck will be responsible for managing and implementing sales to distributors, veterinarians, dealers and producers in the region.

 

KENT NUTRITION GROUP INC., Muscatine, Iowa – Tiffany Briggs has joined the company as territory sales manager for southern New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Briggs was most recently with inside sales and customer service.

Melanie Locke has joined the company as store manager of the Windham, Maine, company store.

 

SYNGENTA, Research Triangle Park, N.C. — Dan Burdett has been named head, global digital agriculture. Burdett will lead the overall global digital agriculture strategy and implementation across multiple business areas, including research and development, Syngenta Ventures, commercial and production and supply functions. He was most recently head of customer marketing.

 

NEDAP, Pipestone, Minn. — Brad Carson has been promoted to vice president of Livestock Management U.S. Carson will oversee all U.S. sales, marketing and application activities for the livestock division.

Tim Shanks has joined the swine management team as a technical and service project manager. Shanks will assist dealers with technology installation and service and will work with producers to plan building and equipment needs.

Chuck Woods has joined the swine management team as a sales representative for the southern Midwest. Woods will help swine producers design and implement group gestation sow housing for new and renovated systems and other automated swine management tools. He was previously with Fast Genetics.
