Mike Pearson starts off the show with John Newton, Chief Economist, AFBF to discuss how the supply chain is holding up under the coronavirus pandemic. Jim McCormick from AgMarket.net joins Mike to talk about the ethanol industry’s challenges from the OPEC oil price war and COVID-19. They also look at how the disease is affecting soybeans.

Part 2

Jim McCormick from AgMarket.net rejoins Mike to talk about the strong dollar’s negative effect on prices. They also continue with a look at the meat market. In the Colby Ag Tech segment Chad Colby reports from ConExpo, the construction trade show, where he saw some amazing new technology in equipment relevant to agriculture. Next, Mike talks with Susan Littlefield of KRVN Radio in Lexington, Nebraska about COVID-19’s impact on farmers, ranchers and consumers in Nebraska.

Part 3

Mike Pearson starts off the segment with a report from D.C. reporter Patrick Haggerty who talks with David Fikes of the Food Marketing Institute about communication with consumers. Next we meet National Outstanding Young Farmer winners Will and Heather Cabe of Georgia.

Max Armstrong joins the show for the BASF Plan Smart, Grow Smart segment. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje joins Mike to look at the forecast for the week ahead.

Part 6

In Max’s Tractor Shed, first Max lets you know that the Mecum Gone Farmin’ Spring Classic Tractor Auction in Davenport, IA has been postponed. Then he introduces a 1937 John Deere owned by Dave Delhotal of Lee County, Illinois who have set it up on high. Mike Pearson profiles Exeter FFA of Exeter, Missouri whose members are getting ready to raise rabbits and show their patriotism by placing flags at cemeteries on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Member Riley Still touts their Angel Tree project where they help needy families at Christmas.

Part 7

Mike Pearson introduces Max’s chat about his upcoming Rancher Roundtable featuring a discussion about managing pastures.
