Syngenta settles Nebraska lawsuit after recent loss

Next class action lawsuit seeking $600 million in damages scheduled for August.

Nearly two weeks after Kansas corn producers won $218 million in the first of eight certified state class action lawsuits against Switzerland-based Syngenta, a Syngenta spokesperson has confirmed to Feedstuffs that the company has also reached a settlement with Nebraska farmer Dan Mensik, who owns 300 acres in Morse Bluff. The Nebraska trial had been scheduled to begin July 10.
