A new study on biodiesel’s life-cycle energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions confirms the environmentally friendly benefits of the renewable fuel. By using updated modeling for the indirect land use change (ILUC), the report -- recently published by a collaboration among Argonne National Laboratory, Purdue University and the U.S. Department of Agriculture -- represents the most up-to-date and comprehensive life-cycle analysis of biodiesel ever produced.
