As rural counties set records for new COVID-19 cases, a new poll released by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health found that 24% of rural households report have been unable to get medical care for serious problems during the pandemic, with more than half of those households reporting harmful health consequences as a result. In addition, a large majority of rural households have reported job or wage losses during the coronavirus outbreak.
