Registration now open for Global Hog Industry Virtual Conference

National Hog Farmer event "Hog Production 2020: Breaking Barriers" expands to two days.

National Hog Farmer has expanded its Global Hog Industry Virtual Conference to now cover two days — May 27-28. In addition to top-level programming on COVID-19, market analysis, animal health strategies and new biotechnologies for the industry, the expo hall will be filled with new exhibitors and products, and the New Product Tour will be held for the first-time online with audience participation.

"Hog Production 2020: Breaking Barriers" will open May 27 with National Hog Farmer unveiling the pork production companies that made this year's Global Mega Producer list. Broadcaster Max Armstrong of This Week in Agribusiness will lead the panel discussion with Ann Hess, National Hog Farmer along with Jim Long, Genesus; and Tom Stein, Maximus Systems/Maximum Ag Technologies, who will provide insight as to the market trends shaping the global hog industry in 2020.

Programming on May 27 will also include a next generation panel of veterinarians and producers for an "Ask Me Anything" session as well as the New Product Tour. Kevin Schulz, National Hog Farmer senior staff writer, will moderate the New Product Tour as nine new products/services participate in this year's tour. Audience members will be able to hear from each of the participating companies as they present their product/service in two-minute presentations and then take questions from a panel of expert judges, with the potential for questions from the audience. Other presentations and panel discussions featured that day will cover COVID-19, market analysis, gut health and nutrition, and biosecurity strategies.

On May 28, the Global Hog Industry Virtual Conference will host discussions on mineral nutrition, animal welfare, African swine fever and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome.

Making a return to the Global Hog Industry Virtual Conference will be the popular expo hall, complete with company booths containing an extensive array of industry information and educational material. Attendees can once again visit with company representatives that will be in their booths to answer questions.

Hosted by National Hog Farmer and its sponsor partners, this two-day digital conference will bring in-depth knowledge and insight via desktop and/or mobile device, and all at no cost for attendees.

The event is made possible by Provimi, Genesus, Alltech, Hubbard Feeds, Merck Animal Health, Kent Nutrition Group, ADM, Pork Checkoff, International Nutrition, Kemin, Neogen, United Animal Health, Chr. Hansen, Boehringer Ingelheim, Topigs and SKOV.
