ADM ANIMAL NUTRITION, Decatur, Ill. — Amy McCarthy has been named vice president, pet nutrition. McCarthy will drive the pet nutrition strategy and will work to expand product offerings in ingredients, premixes, pet foods and pet treats as well as continue to bolster product development capabilities.

 

ALLFLEX LIVESTOCK INTELLIGENCE, Madison, Wis. — Owen Bewley has joined the company as North America sales manager of livestock monitoring. Bewley will lead a team of territory managers based around the U.S., Canada and Mexico and will build, develop and lead the sales team to establish long-term client relationships. He was previously with Phibro Animal Health.

 

AMERICAN FEED INDUSTRY ASSN., Arlington, Va. — Constance Cullman has been appointed president and chief executive officer of the association and president of the industry's public charity, the Institute for Feed Education & Research. Cullman was previously with the Farm Foundation.

Cory Harris has joined the association as manager of government affairs. Harris will be responsible for managing the government affairs activities and for working with committees to keep them informed on legislative issues and with the board of directors to plan advocacy and the annual fly-in. He was previously with the Indiana Soybean Alliance and Indiana Corn Growers Assn.

 

AMERICAN SOYBEAN ASSN., Washington, D.C. — Renee Munasifi has joined the association as biotechnology, crop innovation and regulatory policy expert. Munasifi was previously with Gordley Associates.

Christy Seyfert will join the association as executive director of government affairs, effective Oct. 21. Seyfert will work with the chief executive officer and soybean grower-leaders from across the country to direct and implement policy strategy and manage the policy staff. She was previously with Zurich North America.

Hanna Abou-El-Seoud has joined the association as trade and international policy expert. Abou-El-Seoud was previously with Gordley Associates.

 

ANUVIA PLANT NUTRIENTS, Zellwood, Fla. — Michael Hoger has joined the company as vice president of sales–agriculture. Hoger will lead efforts to market SymTRX for agricultural markets. He was previously with HELM Agro.

 

ARM & HAMMER ANIMAL & FOOD PRODUCTION, Princeton, N.J. — Dr. Christine Alvarado has joined the Passport Food Safety Solutions team as food safety technical service manager. Alvarado will be responsible for technical field support for all food safety efforts, with an emphasis on poultry initiatives. She was previously with Texas A&M University.

Ann Wooming has joined the company as poultry technical services manager on the poultry and swine business team. Wooming will be responsible for field technical services for the commercial turkey production segment. She was previously with Cargill Protein Group.

 

BAYER, St. Louis, Mo. — Ingo Elfering has been appointed chief information officer and head of digital transformation of the Crop Science division. Elfering will lead the digital transformation in Crop Science while continuing to lead Business Services in the U.S.

 

CSA ANIMAL NUTRITION, Dayton, Ohio — Sara Knollinger has joined the company as nutrition specialist. Knollinger will provide nutrition formulation services and technical support for customers and will assist in establishing relationships with new clients.

 

FAMILY FARMS LLC, Brighton, Ill. — Jeff Haferkamp has been selected as chief executive officer. Haferkamp was most recently chief operating officer and chief financial officer.

 

FARMERS NATIONAL CO., Omaha, Neb. — David Englund has been named president and chief executive officer. Englund currently oversees the farm management sector and hires, trains and supervises field operations.

Jim Farrell will retire as president and chief executive officer, effective Dec. 31.

Julie Gerken has been named chief financial officer and treasurer/senior executive vice president. Gerken was most recently senior vice president of financial services/treasurer.

Ken Schmitt has been named to oversee the farm management sector. Schmitt was most recently area vice president for the central area in Jefferson, Iowa.

 

THE FOOD INSTITUTE, Upper Saddle River, N.J. — Marian Zboraj has been appointed executive editor. Zboraj was previously with Food Quality & Safety magazine.

 

GALILEO WHEEL LTD., Mevasseret Tzion, Israel — Andrew Mabin has joined the company as director of OE sales and marketing. Mabin will be responsible for development and marketing of the CupWheel technology in the original equipment (OE) and European markets. He was previously with Trelleborg Wheel Systems.

 

NATIONAL SUGAR MARKETING LLC, Atlanta, Ga. — Chris Simons has been selected as president and chief executive officer. Simons will be responsible for day-to-day leadership. He was previously with Cargill.

 

NF PROTEIN LLC, Sioux City, Iowa — Ray Abner has joined the company as vice president of global business development. Abner will support sales and distribution, client relationships and distribution to customers around the world.

 

OSBORNE INDUSTRIES INC., Osborne, Kan. — Ron Smith has joined the North America Sales staff for livestock equipment. Smith will work with customers and equipment dealers to promote swine management equipment in the eastern U.S. and Canada. He was previously with WLC Co. Inc.

 

SOIL HEALTH PARTNERSHIP, St. Louis, Mo. — John Mesko has been named senior director. Mesko was most recently development director.

 

TRACE GENOMICS, San Francisco, Cal. — Dan Vradenburg has joined the company as chief executive officer. Vradenburg will help guide the company into its next phase of operations. He was previously with Wilbur Ellis.

 

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE-AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SERVICE, Beltsville, Md. — Dr. Alfonso Clavijo has been appointed director of the National Bio & Agro-Defense Facility in Manhattan, Kan., effective Oct. 13. Clavijo will play a role in ensuring the smooth transition of responsibility from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to USDA once the facility becomes fully operational in 2023. He was previously with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's National Centres for Animal Disease.

 

U.S. POULTRY & EGG ASSN., Tucker, Ga. — Dr. Denise Heard has joined the association as director of research programs. Heard will administer the comprehensive research program and Board Research Initiative program of the association and its foundation. She will work with the foundation's Research Advisory Committee to receive and evaluate research proposals and make recommendations to the board of directors for both organizations for funding approval. She was previously with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Poultry Improvement Plan.

 

U.S. WHEAT ASSOCIATES, Arlington, Va. — Mike Spier will join the association as vice president of overseas operations, effective Oct. 15. Spier will be based in the West Coast office in Portland, Ore., and will work with staff and wheat industry partners to maintain and expand international markets for U.S. wheat. He was previously with Columbia Grain International.
