AMERICAN FARMLAND TRUST, Washington, D.C. — Michele Laur has joined the company as Gulf Coast ecosystem restoration coordinator. Laur will engage in Gulf restoration planning and activities related to agriculture, including assisting the U.S. Department of Agriculture with its restoration efforts and evaluating potential synergistic restoration concepts and approaches in each of the Gulf states.

Magalage will serve distributors and producers through expanding portfolio opportunities in the markets he serves, including Australia, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea. He was previously with the Alltech Alcoholic Beverage Division in Japan.

 

CHORE-TIME, Milford, Ind. — Kevin Alger has been promoted to sales manager for the U.S. and Canada. Alger will be responsible for leading the sales and technical service teams dedicated to the poultry and egg industries. He will also support and direct the ongoing development of the independent distributor network in the region. He was previously with Shenandoah Manufacturing.

 

CHS INC., St. Paul, Minn. — Tim Skidmore will retire as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Dec. 31, 2019.

 

D&D INGREDIENT DISTRIBUTORS INC., Delphos, Ohio — Pat Kahle has joined the company as sales manager. Kahle will serve producers, veterinarians, nutritionists and feed professionals, focusing mainly on the Ohio, Michigan and Indiana markets. He was previously with Arm & Hammer.

Mike Wright has joined the company as director of operations and business development. Wright will oversee strategic marketing and communication initiatives, sales, quality assurance and operations for the Global Business. He was previously with Diamond V.

Richard Scheitler has joined the company as chief information officer, effective Sept. 3. Scheitler was previously with The Wonderful Co.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND, Washington, D.C. — Leslie Jones has joined the Ecosystems program as vice president for working lands. Jones will oversee collaborative work to improve water quality, biodiversity and climate resilience on working lands, including farms, ranches and forests. She was previously with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

 

FARM CREDIT ADMINISTRATION, McLean, Va. — David Grahn has been selected as director of the Office of Regulatory Policy. Grahn was most recently associate general counsel in the Office of General Counsel.

 

FIRST FARMERS FINANCIAL CORP., Converse, Ind. — Mark A. Holt has been appointed president and director of First Farmers Bank & Trust and director of First Farmers Financial, effective Sept. 1, 2019. Holt was most recently executive vice president.

 

FOOD & DRUG ADMINISTRATION, Silver Spring, Md. — Dr. Regina Tan has joined the agency as director of the Center for Veterinary Medicine's Office of Research. Tan was previously with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food & Nutrition Service.

 

KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY, Manhattan, Kan. — Michael L. Day has joined the university to lead the department of animal sciences and industry. Day was previously with the University of Wyoming.

 

LSI INDUSTRIES INC., Cincinnati, Ohio — Erin Nichols has joined the company as national accounts sales manager. Nichols will work with distributors to expand lighting product sales, manage customer satisfaction and create direct relationships with a range of national retailers, including hypermarket, warehouse, discount and retail banking formats.

 

MERIDIAN FEED MILL, Meridian, Ida. — Stacy Boston will retire as manager of the mill, effective Aug. 28. Boston has been with the company for 44 years.

 

MITSUI RAIL CAPITAL LLC, Chicago, Ill. — Kevin Cook has been appointed vice president of sales, marketing and business development. Cook was previously with Midland Manufacturing.

 

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STATE DEPARTMENTS OF AGRICULTURE, Arlington, Va. — Sara Arsenault has been promoted to manager of public policy. Arsenault will lead engagement on animal agriculture issues. She most recently led the meetings and Partners Program.

Amanda Culp has been promoted to director, communications and events. Culp will lead communications and the execution of the Annual Meeting, Winter Policy Conference and other events. She was most recently director, communications.

Max Moncaster has joined the company as associate director, public policy. Moncaster will lead engagement on international trade, domestic marketing and natural resources policy issues. He was previously with the National Cattlemen's Beef Assn.

Molly Quirk has been promoted to manager, partnerships and finance. Quirk will lead engagement and continued financial management for the Partners Program.

 

NUTRIQUEST, Mason City, Iowa — Jose Cardenas has joined the company as vice president of global sales and marketing. Cardenas will lead global sales and marketing activities in swine, poultry and dairy and will be involved in developing the strategic direction to accelerate global product and revenue growth. He was previously with Elanco Animal Health.

 

RABOBANK, Utrecht, Netherlands — Frank van Oordt has been appointed global head energy and metals within Trade & Commodity Finance (TCF). Van Oordt will oversee activities in energy and metals in the company's 11 TCF offices around the globe. He was previously with World Bank.

 

SAF-T-GARD INTERNATIONAL INC., Northbrook, Ill. — Brian Long has joined the company as vice president of sales. Long was previously with Grainger Industrial Supply.

 

STONEHAVEN INCUBATE, Andermatt, Switzerland — Dr. Gwynneth Thomas has been appointed investment manager based in London, England. Thomas will help clients with the creation and growth of new animal health companies. She was previously with the Texas Medical Center's Innovation Institute.

Daugherty-Weaver will be responsible for all areas of marketing and advertising, including design and content creation for advertisements, website, social media, and company literature and managing trade shows, corporate events and product launches. TYSON FOODS INC., Springdale, Ark. — Noelle O'Mara has been named group president of prepared foods. O'Mara will manage all aspects of the prepared foods business and will oversee one-third of the manufacturing facilities and more than 25,000 team members. She was most recently chief marketing officer.

 

U.S. WHEAT ASSOCIATES, Arlington, Va. — Dalton Henry has been named vice president of policy. Henry was previously with Roots & Legacies Consulting Inc.
