INSIDE WASHINGTON: ERS relocation causes negative ‘brain drain’ for ag

Growing number of organizations calling on Congress through appropriations process or farm bill to halt relocation of ERS and NIFA outside Washington, D.C., metro area.

It has been more than a month since the U.S. Department of Agriculture proposed to move its National Institute of Food & Agriculture (NIFA) and Economic Research Service (ERS) out of the Washington, D.C., metro area. Now, additional concerns are being voiced about the proposal.
