Perdue’s assistant to secretary for rural development shares how reorganization has brought improved private partnerships at USDA.

In May 2017, Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue rolled out a reorganization of the U.S. Department of Agriculture that realigned the office of rural development to report directly to him. Anne Hazlett was named assistant to the secretary for rural development and reports directly to the deputy secretary of agriculture, Steve Censky, and Perdue.
