Topigs Norsvin announced this week that it has appointed Francisco Sepúlveda as general manager for Topigs Norsvin Portugal. Next to this, he also will be key account coordinator for Topigs Norsvin Espanã.

Sepúlveda is currently the key account manager and director swine division for an animal health company in Portugal. He will officially assume his new position in September 2021, taking over from Gonçalo Pimpao, who has worked for Topigs Norsvin for over 17 years.

Sepúlveda has extensive experience in the pork industry and pork genetics. He gained this during a five-year period at a leading animal health company and at Topigs Norsvin, where he worked for eight years before his current job.

“Francisco knows and understands the market in Portugal and his knowledge of Topigs Norsvin and genetics make him the perfect manager to further developing our company’s position in the market,” said Arno van de Laar, regional director of Europe. “I am happy he is back in our company.’’

Francisco Sepúlveda replaces Gonçalo Pimpao who, besides being general manager of Topigs Norsvin Portugal, was also the sales director of Topigs Norsvin Espanã.

“I would like to thank Gonçalo for leading the successful expansion and development of Topigs Norsvin in Portugal and the great work he did with the sales team in Spain,” said van de Laar. “In both positions, he initiated and contributed to the success in the market. I wish him all the best for the future.”
