Form-A-Feed adds three new business managers

Form-A-Feed’s team has grown tremendously in recent years, including the addition of three new business managers, Ryan Eichler, Tim Doherty, and Craig Steck. 

Daniel Kohls, previously the Form-A-Feed beef team leader and business manager moved into the role of Form-A-Feed vice president of sales & marketing in January 2020, leading the Form-A-Feed sales and marketing team. Throughout the year, Form-A-Feed also added three new business managers to lead the Form-A-Feed beef, dairy, and swine segments of the business. 

Ryan Eichler joined the Form-A-Feed team in April 2020 as the beef business manager. Eichler was born and raised on a diversified cattle and row crop operation north of Aberdeen, S.D. and is an animal science graduate of South Dakota State University. Eichler’s industry experiences include Cargill Animal Nutrition, Elanco’s feedlot group, and most recently with DSM’s ruminant group. Eichler is also currently the president of the SD Cattlemen’s Foundation and on the association’s board of directors.

Tim Doherty joined the Form-A-Feed team in September 2020 as the dairy business manager. Tim Doherty was born and raised in central Vermont and graduated with an animal science degree from Cornell University, where he also played college football. A fifteen-year veteran of the feed business, Doherty’s experience in the dairy feed industry includes serving as dairy nutritionist with a cooperative in New England and two nutrition companies including Doboy Feeds in Wisconsin, and most recently, nine years with Hubbard Feeds. There he served as a senior dairy specialist providing both on-farm nutrition services as well as sales team leadership in the WI and MN markets, providing technical support to team members and dealer personnel.

Craig Steck joined the Form-A-Feed team in November 2020 as the swine business manager. Steck is a native of Illinois and alumnus of Black Hawk East Community College and the University of Illinois. Steck brings extensive experience in swine nutrition, feed sales and production systems from his eight years as a Cargill pork business consultant and most recently, as the director of nutrition, research, and technical projects for New Horizon Farms since 2013.
