Evonik announced Nov. 26 that the force majeure announced Nov. 12 on the company's methionine manufacturing facilities in Antwerp, Belgium, has now ended. An issue with the hydrocyanic acid (HCN) supply caused a temporary shutdown of the facility.

Dr. Emmanuel Auer, head of the Animal Nutrition Business Line at Evonik, said, “We are pleased that we could solve the issue and resume MetAMINO production. We would like to thank our customers for the patience and support shown while we resolved the situation.”

Evonik is a world leader in specialty chemicals.
