Dr. Kenneth S. Eng Jr., 82, of Columbia, Miss., and San Antonio, Texas, passed away Feb. 28 at his home in Mississippi.

Eng was born March 1, 1937, in Norfolk, Neb., and was raised in the Newman Grove, Neb., area. He holds a bachelor and master's degree from the University of Nebraska -Lincoln and his PhD in animal nutrition from Oklahoma State University.

Eng had a long career as a consulting feedyard nutritionist, rancher and poet. He served as a longtime author of Feedstuffs' Bottom Line of Nutrition-Beef column.
