Dairyland Labs acquires Litchfield Analytical Services testing business

Litchfield Analytical Services of Litchfield, Mich., announced that it has sold its testing business and analytical instruments to Dairyland Labs Inc. of Arcadia, Wis., to focus on its agricultural consulting business.

Dairyland, established in 1958, is an independent laboratory providing extensive analysis of feed, forage, soil, manure, soil and water.

Dairyland will be consolidating Litchfield’s business to a newly opened laboratory location in Battle Creek, Mich., strengthening its ability to service clients within the Michigan, Ohio and Indiana markets. Kate Spaans, Dairyland’s Battle Creek manager, will oversee the new lab operations.
