Offering U.S. feed, pet food, grain and oilseed processors greater responsiveness, Bühler North America expands and strengthens its service offerings with the acquisition of American Pellet Mill Services Inc. (APM), a leading equipment service company based in Springdale, Ark.

APM is a leading provider of pellet mill parts and services, including die and roller assembly reconditioning, new dies and roller shells and other equipment parts and services, in the South Central U.S. The Springdale location will become a new service center site in the Bühler Customer Service network. All employees have joined the Bühler team and operations continue unchanged, utilizing the “pick up, repair and deliver” model, the company said.

Future investments are planned to update equipment used to deliver services, and the full Bühler supply chain will be leveraged to improve competitiveness in terms of both cost and efficiency. Customers will also benefit from Bühler’s deep process expertise, as an original equipment manufacturer, to deliver improved operational insights, along with the services provided.

“Bringing APM into the Bühler family is all about doing whatever it takes to help customers operate more effectively on a day-to-day basis and, again, demonstrates Bühler’s commitment to North American feed, pet food, grain and oilseed processing customers," said Brian Williams, vice president of marketing and business development for Bühler North America.

“From the beginning, we put our customers and their satisfaction at the center of our business," APM president David Sparks said. "Our customers receive the fast and reliable services they need supported by quality parts. By teaming up with Bühler, we will be able to update equipment, expand offerings and gain deeper process expertise, allowing us to take our original mission to the next level.”

Sparks, along with APM vice president Joe Sparks and APM sales manager Rose Sparks, will continue to lead the Springdale location as members of the Bühler team.
