Ag groups seek re-engagement on TPP

Dialogue's Asia-Pacific Working Group wrote letter to USTR Lighthizer stating willingness to share ideas for how to re-engage in Trans-Pacific Partnership.

During President Donald Trump's Jan. 26 address at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, he expressed a willingness to consider re-engaging in Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) discussions. The statement has instilled new optimism into agricultural groups that were shut out of the lucrative market-building agreement when the President withdrew from TPP on his first day in office last year.
