Balchem Corp., a global nutrition and health company, has introduced the new KeyShure Plus line of chelated minerals. The company also also launched its new PuraChol line of branded choline products.
According to the company, KeyShure Plus utilizes Balchem's proprietary chelation technology combined with new formulation techniques to deliver a line of minerals with higher metal content and improved handling characteristics. KeyShure Plus product line includes zinc, copper, iron, manganese and magnesium.
"Scientists from the Balchem family of companies pioneered mineral chelation nearly 60 years ago and they continue to develop advancements and improvements to increase animal efficiency and productivity still today," said Tom Powell, director of the monogastric business for Balchem Animal Nutrition & Health.
KeyShure Plus also features improved handling characteristics. The granular texture reduces dust and improves flowability and the larger particle size also enhances mixability for a more consistent distribution in feed.
As a global leader in choline production, Balchem noted that it has invested more than 50 years in research, manufacturing advances, raw ingredient testing and supplier relationship development to deliver the highest quality, purest choline chloride possible.
Available in multiple forms and carrier options, PuraChol is offered as:
- Liquid or dry formulations;
- Non-grain, non-genetically modified organism;
- Silica carrier;
- Organic carrier, and
- Concentrations ranging from 50% to 75%.
"Though the name PuraChol is new; customers can continue to expect the same premier quality and high standards they've come to know from Balchem," said Jonathan Griffin, vice president and general manager of Balchem Animal Nutrition & Health. "We are building on Balchem's long and distinguished history of scientific and manufacturing excellence with added transparency in our quality testing processes and enhanced supplier quality agreements; all to deliver a line of choline products with unmatched purity, safety and consistency."
By adhering to rigorous quality testing protocols, maintaining complete supply chain control and manufacturing its products in world-class production facilities, Balchem said its customers can be confident in PuraChol's purity. Balchem's extensive quality control testing program analyzes raw materials and finished goods for a range of contaminants including dioxins, mycotoxins, pathogens and pesticides to ensure product quality and purity. Beginning in February 2020, Balchem will release the results of this testing program to customers on a quarterly basis.
